Each day the zoo will show off a small animals (reptile or insect) that inhabit Africa.

Tomorrow on June 29 the zoo will open its largest exhibit ever, Africa. Africa will will be an 8 acre complex featuring the wild beauties of the African Savannah.
2008: Phase 1: Giraffe Ridge - Masai Giraffes
2010: Phase 2: Cheetah Encounter + Greater Flamingo
2013: Phase 3: Lions, Cheetahs, and Vultures
2014: Phase 4: Grevy\'s Zebras/Giant Elands/Gazelles/Ostriches/Crowned Cranes/Marabou Stork
2015: Phase 5: African Wild Dogs + Red River Hogs + Nile Crocodiles + Hippopotamuses

It appears that this is set within a play area with perhaps shredded rubber substrate. Is that what's going on here?
 
I should point out that the species that could be considered "big" or more "exciting" than the others will not be presented. For now it will most likely be reptiles (Angolan python), and invertebrates.

African Animal Presentation...

Are they really hoping to have tame, 'demo' African Pygmy Geese? More detail would be appreciated, as I can't see this being possible.
 
They'll probably put them in a bucket and pull them out and carry them for people to see. They do that with their armadillos.
 
African Animal...

I can't see a Pygmy Goose living very long under that sort of regime -- they're not things you can pick up & play with. Armadillos of course are.
