There are about 20 different species of cat at the Cincinnati Zoo, and I think that there are about 15 species just of small cats which is unbelievable to see. However, the enclosures are all pitifully small, and many of the cats do not have access to an outdoor area.
The middle one is actually another fossa. I am shocked by my own memory, but were there even tayras in the Cat House? And were there two bat-eared fox exhibits? From old photos there's a habitat left of the old meerkat one, but all I remember was a wall with a 'tiger poem' on it. Lastly, what is that one next to the fox in the photo?
Ugh! I still can't remember what the middle part of the rotunda looked like. I visited probably over one hundred times. There's even a video on Youtube of a margay and next thing you know, the next animal shown next to it is a fishing cat, which makes no sense.
