The zoo is extending the pool a few more feet because it has become apparent to the keepers that all four Tigers (white and Malayan) are not comfortable with the deep water in this habitat. Adding on, this exhibit will temporarily not be in use in preparation for more enrichment to come along with added tree work.
All four tigers are not comfortable with the pool? Does that mean the whites and Malayans both use the same pool at different times - eg they alternate yards?

Is there an anticipated amount of time for how long this is going to take? I'm hoping to visit the Cincinnati Zoo for the first time in a couple weeks and would love to see the white tigers if given the chance.

Regardless for the time you arrive at this exhibit you will always have the opportunity to at least see one of the pairs in the lower habitat. You see the white tigers on a Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
I apologize for speaking so soon because it appears they are also doing construction on the second tiger exhibit. Meaning both tiger species will be off display for possibly a month or more.
