Keep in mind we have winter here in Ohio unlike you in Texas. In addition, it has been raining non stop for a month so before you become overly critical give the place a chance to let the plants grow and develop. Besides, how many elephants yard have you seen that aren't all dirt on the ground.
In my opinion North Carolina and Nashville are the two best elephant exhibits in all of North America, and they feature green grass on 7 and 3 acres, respectively. After that there are many more excellent elephant exhibits, including the multi-species habitat in Dallas, but none are as impressive as North Carolina and Nashville. Cleveland's looks similar to new elephant enclosures in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City, meaning that the space is huge and much improved but the foliage or sightlines are nowhere near as good as they possibly could be.
This photo does not do the exhibit justice at all.Having seen the exhibit from many different vantage points we think its going to be difficult to really showcase the entire exhibit as a whole.Snowleopard brings up a good point on the sightlines could definitely be better.Jbnbsn99 we agree with you that the cable wires are very disapointing and Jaguar is right about the weather here this spring being horrible.Overall its not Nash,NC or Dallas but it is a major improvement and not a bad exhibit.

Yes I would agree the photos don't do the exhibit justice and you really need to see it to get the full perspective of the exhibit. Haven't seen the new Dallas or Nash exhibits. Agree with you on NC. I saw Dallas two years ago and it was bad. Is the new one that much improved??

Absolutely Giants of the Savannah is a huge improvement, for me its the best elephant exhibit I have ever visited followed by Nashville I haven't been to NC but it sounds like most on here give it the the their number one ranking.Having now seen the exhibit in Cleveland inside and out I am going to stand by it being a huge improvement but must still say it cannot compete with the above mentioned zoos.
