Here is the original plan for the placement of the future exhibits, including the African Savannah. It may not be exactly where the exhibit will be, but that sector of the zoo's land is the only place large enough to fit the exhibit.

This map is the different from the "original" Africa exhibit placement I've seen. I see Polar Frontier is one yours, so mine must be older. In mine, old church/current "Arctic Research Station" is the African Market and entrance to the African savanna exhibit. If I remember correctly, it also had the old parking lot, with a South/Central America exhibit south North America. I'll see if I can turn it up.
Anyhow, as for this one, this one is interesting. The TBD areas are intriguing. I'm most excited by the little area immediately to the west of the African Savanna exhibit. It's the exact location, size and shape of the Madagascar exhibit my group presented for our class project. Maybe they took our idea to heart--hey, I can dream, can't I? I'll also be interested to see what, if anything becomes of the area southeast of the parking lot. Probably where the hotel will go, though it would be nice to have a Rainforest building like Cleveland has.

I guess I should say one of the original plans. The one you are talking about is older, and more thorough, than this one. It'd be great if you can find that old plan. I can't seem to.
It will be interesting to see what becomes of the TBD areas. I have heard rumors that the zoo does in fact plan on opening a Madagascan exhibit near the African Savannah, so who knows!
