Aren't they summer visitors? How do you tell the two godwits apart? I'm going back to the Esplanade tomorrow morning so I will be able to have another look. I also have a few more pictures of this particular bird so I may be able to ID it from the pictures.

Chlidonias 23 Jun 2016 the easiest way is the colour of the tail and rump - wait for them to lift their wings out of the way. There are always some migrants which remain year-round.
