Saint Louis Zoo's Big Cat Country was built at the same time as the cat complex at Como Park Zoo and I believe by the same construction firm. This early 1980's area is still more than adequate and the lion and tiger exhibits are huge, but the idea of looking down into the exhibit is not the best vantage point and it worries me in terms of having young children excited to see the large cats.
