Rainforest Reptiles- White Alligator Exhibit

August 30, 2012: With the sign... reallly?
"Rainforest Reptiles."

The resemblence of this exhibit to an actual rainforest is uncanny!

And I also learned that american alligators are native to the rainforest, which I did not know.

Gila monsters also are rainforest residents. You must have heard of the Great Gila Rainforest in Arizona?

that sign.that information.Stoneage,....I don't like Colour-Morph enthusiasm, but that poor thing,....

"because the white alligator is so rare we prefer to keep the animal dry while on display"!!!!

Rainforest Reptiles is a Massachusetts-based organization that rescues herps that were pets or were injured. This white gator is the only animal in their collection that wasn't a rescue. They probably just call it Rainforest Reptiles as they thought it was a catchy name. Since they travel a lot, this exhibit seems to be just to display the animal, although it's still a crappy exhibit. When I looked at their website, it showed a pic of a white gator outdoors.
