Predators- Amur Tiger Exhibit #2

November 24, 2012: There are two adjoining Amur Tiger enclosures.
I have seen them only together once, and that was in June. They actually mated there, but I'm not sure if he was successful. Since then, they have been kept seperate, and I think they will be kept seperate for a while knowing that Naka, the female, had AI done on her.

Has an AI ever been done successfuly on a Tiger.

Off topic but to help settle a debate I'm having with a friend abotu Dogs, has a successful AI ever been performed on a canine species (more specifically a Domestic Dog or Grey Wolf)?

There have been only 3 pregnancies produced in the last 25 years with AI in capitive tigers.
Artificial insemination is becoming a more common way to get Domestic Dog puppies for breeders when the adults won't mate naturally.
