You can tell the Connecticut Tourist Board that if they want to increase revenue to their state and infuse the local economy with Arizona tourist dollars, all they have to do is include a pampas cat exhibit in this new expansion. :D

someone needs to tell them that Chacoan peccaries live in the Chaco....not on the pampas

Zoos in general have trouble with what actually encompasses the Pampas.

Arizona Docent- If only! It would be a real treat to see Pampas Cats, or Pampas Foxes, but let's face it, it's not going to happen. However, since the peccaries will move to a new exhibit, it does leave their old exhibit open for a new species. Speaking of peccaries...
Chlidonias and Ituri- It is true that Chacoan Peccaries are native to the Gran Chaco, but the zoo already houses Chacoan Peccaries, and is pretty successful with them. As they participate in the SSP with them, the peccaries are there to stay. At least the peccaries will get larger digs. Below is a sketch of Pampas Plains, and an article on it;

I noticed they put, "...you will encounter other species..." Apparently they still don't know what species they'll be adding to this exhibit besides the ones they already have and the Giant Anteater. That or they're just keeping it a secret.
