May 11, 2013: In 2006, the zoo celebrated its first and so far only birth of Golden Lion Tamarins. The mother, Julie, is still at the zoo (I think), but I'm not sure if this is her.
Happy Mother's Day Julie!

Was this individual released into the wild as the zoo claims it has released Golden Lion Tamarins, Red Wolves, and Andean Condor (have they been released yet or are they still getting ready in Cincinnati?) into the wild.

Which individual? The offspring? The offspring were actually twins. I think that their offspring might have been released into the wild in late 2011 or early 2012, as I didn't see them in my February 2012 visit, but they were there the last time I visited at that point, July 2011.
I unfortunately do not know the status of the condor release, but I would think that they might have been released into Columbia now.
