Childhood memories....London kept these in the Moonlight World for many years when I was growing up. They were maintained in an exhibit within a den, and the keepers wore special gear to go in with them, due to the UK's uncompromising anti-rabies laws.
Eventually they went elsewhere (don't know their destination), as they were deemed too labour-intensive. But for most growing boys they were the most exciting species in the collection..
