April 2013. For details, see my review http://www.zoochat.com/22/review-dallas-world-aquarium-350667/ . I did not note the species in the main tank but the book mentions Giant Pacific octopus (doubtful, I didn?t see it), and unidentified sea anemones, sea stars, sea cucumbers, and urchins. The smaller tank contains Sailfin sculpin.
This exhibit showcases my part of the world!:) What shocks a few visitors is that the Dallas World Aquarium really has many basic, rather ordinary fish tanks that pale in comparison to exhibits at the 5 grand behemoths in the United States: Shedd, Georgia, Monterey Bay, Tennessee and Baltimore. DWA's tanks are more than adequate but compared to the spectacular-looking rainforest complex the aquatic side of things (other than a handful of tanks) is rather hit-and-miss. If the establishment was called the Dallas World Zoo it would actually be more appropriate!
