Bush Exhibit

This is one of six exhibits in the Wilds of Africa parts, which can be only seen from a monorail tour. Its home for common zebras, greater kudus, springbok and some birds. They treid to includes the gernuk also, but it failed, so the gerenuk have their own exhibit.

The other five exhibits are Forest,Mountain,Woodland,River and Desert.

Strange policy to keep exhibits that can only be seen from a train ride...

It is, and in the high summer, the monorail is not riding for a few month, so the vistors can not see all these animals....

That is how it was when I went in winter several years ago, they closed it in both summer and winter months. But I believe they now run it year round (weather permitting). As a photographer, I too would like to see a walking trail so I can get good photos. I guess I will just have to make sure that ZooChat's own jbsn is the driver of my tram, so I can get him to stop for all the good photo ops .

Correction, they are Grevy's Zebra! And we recently had a foal!

Correction again, the Grevy's (at least 1.2) are in the woodlands now for better visibility. 1.0 Grevy's is still in the Bush though. And yes there is a young colt in the mix.
