Yes, or at least spooked by the zebra. I don't think it actually chased him (although I could not see below the embankment), but it was walking towards the baby and its mother. They were in a corner and the only way out was through the stream, so I think the baby panicked and ran out that way. The mother stayed put BTW (for a minute anyway).
On the two days of my visit, no animals were in with the elephants. The zebras, ostriches, impalas, giraffes were together in the far left savanna, but no access to elephant yard.
I've never seen a giraffe take to water like that; wild or captive. Though there probably aren't too many zoos that allow giraffes access to that much water.
Looking at this photo makes me realize how unpredictable animals can be. I could only imagine what would happen if one of the giraffe at Tanganyika Wildlife Park got spooked for some reason.
