A couple of times a day they will fly a crowned crane over the exhibit. Also in preparation are a marabou stork and a fish eagle.

Can someone please give an overview of what species are mixed with the elephants at Dallas? I read somewhere that their goal was to have an integrated giraffe-elephant-antelope complex. Have they accomplished this?

The giraffe have not been integrated into the mixture do to logistical reasons, but the elephants have been mixed successfully with the zebra, impala, and ostrich. At some point in the future giraffes will be integrated in as well.
