Where are you referring too? The back mural or the river bank style hides. If the river bank style hides, than no they are not painted into the walls. If you are talking about under the window those are also not painted in.
@DavidBrown - There is a tree trunk leading to the water that is not painted if thats what your getting at?
The background murals are fine and can be great in the use of indoor habitats (see Jungle World), but the wall in front with the the wood railing looks like it has rocks painted on it which looks super unrealistic.
