Taken 6/8/16. This an an Asian-themed exhibit complex that opened in 2012. The major feature of the complex is a connected series of 5 large yards for rotating 3 species: Asian Elephant, Greater On-horned Rhinoceros, and Malayan Tapir. The tapirs also have there own additional smaller yard exclusively for them, and 9 other exhibits for other species are interspersed in the complex.

This exhibit is possibly the weakest element of the $50 million Toyota Elephant Passage, with the otters not having access to an outdoor area....or at least one that is viewed by the public. In the USA, particularly in many aquariums, it is quite normal for otters to have all-indoor enclosures.
 
In addition the lighting from above is artificial; at least the otters can see natural light from the windows at the end of the hall, while the others - fishing cat, great hornbill, green tree python, prehensile-tailed skink, and leaf-nosed rat snake - don't see much of that natural light.
