I seem to recall a hidden obstacle that prevents the elephants, rhinos and tapirs from swimming right up to the viewing windows. Is there an underwater wall that blocks the animals from approaching too close? Either way, this room offers up a spectacular close-up of several large mammal species.

Yes all the waterways adjacent to the rotation yards had hidden walls away from the edges so that the animals would not be able to get close.
