Aardvark Exhibit

My favourite aardvark exhibit, partly due to the large size of the enclosure. There is a lot of space for digging!

It's my favorite as well. It's nice to see them outside, and not in a smaller indoor exhibit surrounded by other small to medium sized mammals.

Do you actually see the aardvarks during the day?

The one time that I visited the Detroit Zoo (summer of 2008) there was one aardvark that I watched for at least 15 minutes. There should be a number of photos in the ZooChat gallery, and the aardvark was digging up half of its exhibit as it plunged in and out of holes all over the enclosure.
