Reactions: German Zoo World
The National Amphibian Conservation Center (Amphibiville) is regarded as one of the world's great buildings for zoo nerds who adore cold-blooded specimens, and is there really an astonishing 80 or so species on display? This award-winning structure is situated within a 2-acre wetland and is just across from the impressive Reptile House. One building dates from the 1960's while the other is from the early 2000's and between them they represent just about the best part of Detroit Zoo.

It looks like they renovated a different area in the building for the Japanese Giant Salamander, any idea what this space will be used for?
