@Arizona Docent: I agree with you in some respect with your thoughts on Disney Animal Kingdom, because after the brilliant but speedy Kilimanjaro Safari ride there isn't a lot left to see for the outrageous admission fee. There are many people on ZooChat that think DAK is a top 10 or even top 5 zoo, but I wouldn't put it anywhere near there as I'd much rather visit nearby Miami or Jacksonville instead.
For me Congo Gorilla Forest is #1 for gorillas, with DAK at #2, and after that there are plenty of other excellent habitats for great apes. Atlanta, San Diego, Woodland Park, Dallas, Lincoln Park and Busch Gardens, while some people also enjoy the gorilla exhibits at Sedgwick County and Louisville.
