Did you see many mandrills? I can remember going on the tour twice, and both times I spent maybe 10 seconds looking at what appears to be a fairly naturalistic environment. Between having elephants on one side and the speed of the tour, there is simply no way to have more than perhaps 30 seconds to glance quickly through the bushes for mandrills.
I saw three mandrills in here on several different rides and the narrators pointed them out when seen despite the greater excitement of the bull elephant on the other side!
I've always though that disney's mandrills should be in there 'pangani forest exporation trail'. Prehaps they could move them there and replace this exhibit with a large group of olive baboons?

That would certainly be more appropriate, but I won't bet on that happening. Disney being Disney, they want "Rafiki" to live alongside the lions, elephants, giraffes and antelope, just like The Lion King...
I was able to spot two and barely got a shot of the dominant male. The only thing I don't like about this attraction is that you don't get much time to look at the animals.
