ostrich and zebra at puzzle feeder.

September 4, 2013. When the zebra turns the tube with its nose (as it is doing here), food would fall to the ground, attracting the ostrich. The bird is smart enough to figure out that she can get food when the zebra turns it, but not smart enough to figure out she could turn it herself. I observed this pattern repeatedly.

This is cool, always great to see ungulate enrichment. And awesome that more than one species is enriched!
