snowleopard 9 Jul 2009 These grotto-style enclosures for otters, porcupines and raccoons at the Ellen Trout Zoo appear to be rather nasty little things. Ugh.

jbnbsn99 9 Jul 2009 Nasty is one way to describe them. This is the whole otter grotto and it only has a 2 foot tall wall separating you from the otters.

snowleopard 9 Jul 2009 How is this place AZA-accredited? I could drive down to Texas and build better otter, raccon and porcupine enclosures for about a thousand bucks. Anything would be an improvement over the concrete monstrosities that the animals currently have.
