Good question, unfortunately I'm not sure. They had their first baby in 2003 so he has to be more than 7 years old. Sorry!

Is he Bornean or Sumatran? My guess would be Bornean. Just a guess, since that's the subspecies displayed in Los Angeles; minus one male hybrid named Bruno who's not allowed to breed.

I'm no Orangutan expert, but as they can get very old, would a male ape actually have become this big and this looking only by the age of 7? Again, I'm no expert!
