@geomorph: Did you ever type up a review of the Florida Aquarium? What are your thoughts on the establishment? I've heard from a few people that it is a must-see while in Florida and I hope to tour it this summer. Could it be seen in 3 hours or less like almost all aquariums? The kiddie section looks to be quite impressive (complete with a play area that incorporates a water zone) and yet there are barely any photos of the place on ZooChat.
Its a very kid oriented aquarium from top to bottom. So considering you now are on tour with your kids you should spend a bit more time than you normally would here would have to say about 2 hours max.
It is a fine aquarium, especially the atrium's swamp and coastal displays. It is entirely possible to see in under 3 hours like most aquariums. I did not write a review, I decided to only write reviews of places I have visited since I started writing them, and this was one that I visited before that time. You're probably wondering if you can combine this with Lowry Park Zoo in one day, and my answer would be no! Combine the aquarium with a stroll along the downtown waterfront instead.
Hi guys. How many hours would you say is needed to view this aquarium? I'm planning on making a trip to Clearwater from Orlando in August, and on the way I'm hoping to make a stop in Tampa. Do you reckon it would be feasible to view this aquarium in under two hours? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply, geomorph. And sorry to bother you with the same question someone else asked just a few posts up. I honestly hadn't realised. I assumed I had already read the replies before posting.
