Plankendael Gibbon Indoor island

This small island in the new tropical house at Plankendael is linked to a much larger one outside.

fantastically well furnished for a totally arboreal species wouldn't you say?

Well, remember that there is a large outdoor island as well, plus the sleeping dens. This would be a most unsuitable enclosure if the photograph showed the entire extent of the exhibit - almost on par with the Gibbon enclosure at Cefn-Yr-Erw.
