Fort Worth Zoo - Herpetarium

August 2008. Soon to be replaced by the MOLA (Museum of Living Art) in 2009, which will be just about the largest reptile house in North America.

It's weird how zoos are now naming their reptile houses a lot different. Like the LA zoo's HISS Center (Herpetofauna-Invertebrate Species Survival Center) and now MOLA, but personaly, I don't like the name Museum of Living Art.

Do you know what the zoo will be doing with this building when the zoo finishes MOLA?

That's a good question, and I've never heard what is happening to the old building. Hopefully if it is bulldozed then the parts can be recycled around the zoo.
