I can remember visiting this exhibit twice and only barely seeing a tiny part of a cheetah's tail. Nice photo, especially considering the fact that there is a lot of foliage for the cats to hide in, as well as a large grassy field area.
Yeah, it's hit and miss whether or not you will see a cheetah when you visit. You have to know where to look, and most of the time they are off in the trees resting.
I do like how there is a boardwalk that takes you into the middle of the exhibit. There is also a telescope there, but it's not really necessary since they are not that far away. As I recall from memory, the view shown here is about what you see with your naked eye (meaning this shot is not zoomed in very much with a telephoto lens - at least I don't think so).
