The outdoor exhibit for northern raccoons (Procyon lotor) in the European Area in Planckendael. While the raccoon is not a native European species it has established wild populations in Central and Northern Europe.
The metal fence in front has electric wire running along it as does the low rock wall the makes up the out most boundary of this exhibit (as you can see all the way to the left in the frame). This exhibit is nothing grand but a nice little habitat for raccoons. The tall tress are hotwired but the shrubberies are not.
