Maybe it is simply the quality of the camera, not the photographer. I've got a decent camera but it is certainly not a high-powered item with an incredible lens. I simply gauge my angles accurately so as to not allow too much light into the photo. However, aquariums are notoriously awful when it comes to exhibit photography.
