Giraffe/Ostrich/Eland/Speke's Gazelle/Dromedary Exhibit

Aug. 8th, 2011.
That's quite a mix of species.

At least 4 of the species were all in the same exhibit together, but I'm not 100% certain about the dromedaries as I saw one in a separate paddock adjacent to the main enclosure and I'm not sure if the camel(s) have access to both areas.

The camel now does have access to the giraffe exhibit. I saw them using it in February.

This whole complex will be replaced when the new African savanna area is built. Apparently there will be a large multi-species exhibit for giraffes, antelope, white rhinos. etc. It will be interesting to see what they will do with this section of the zoo as presumably the giraffes and associates will move over to the new Africa area.
