Did you get the story on what the purpose of the baobab tree is? On the inside it looks like it was built for some kind of keeper interaction with the elephants, but I didn't really understand the setup.
Sorry, I did not get the story. Scott the zoo director gave us a brief tour of the main viewing area (and classroom) by the café. But he was not with us when we got here and did not mention any specifics about the tree. I did not go inside it myself as we were rushed for time.
