In this photo, the animals are actually unrelated! On the left is the male "Vus-Musi" from the SDWAP, and on the right is female "Miss Betts" from Riddles Elephant Sanctuary (they are indeed a private breeder, but not a breeder for circuses. In fact all of their captive bred animals, and most of their other elephants are now living in zoo's around the country)
Hopefully in the next 4-5 years these two will start to add genetically valuable calves to the North American african elephant population!
