The tamarin/marmoset house on the central island in the South American rainforest theme in the America Area in Planckendael. Here visitors can observe the golden-headed lion tamarins (Leontopithecus chrysomelas) and geoffroy's marmosets (Callithrix geoffroyi) in their indoor housing. The island is a large walkthrough exhibit with prime conditions the small monkeys filled with live trees and plants.
The golden-headed lion tamarin is one of the flagship species of the KMDA who also manages the EEP programme.
