The aviary for South American wetland birds in Planckendael. Species in this well planted aviary are scarlet ibis (Eudocimus ruber), Honduras boat-billed heron (Cochlearius cochlearius ridgwayi), southern lapwing (Vanellus chilensis), elegant crested tinamou (Eudromia elegans) and bare-eyed pigeon (Patagioenas corensis). This exhibit will in the future be part of the American Area.
