I feel that for the size of the Georgia Aquarium (largest on the planet) that they could have done more for the beluga exhibit. The viewing is awkward and on two levels, while the tank is a decent size but nothing in comparison to the whale shark fishbowl.

Because of rising costs, the beluga tank was going to be tanked...but was kept in the plan because they were a favorite of Bernie Marcus's wife.

Alright Georgia aquarium is now on my list for things to see one day. :)

The Georgia Aquarium is the world's largest, but the whale shark tank really does dwarf everything else there. To see 4 whale sharks, countless sharks, rays and thousands of other fish in a 6 million gallon tank is one of the great aquarium sights of all time.:)

Nico, a male from Mexico City, died in Sea World San Antonia after he and two other females were moved due to construction of the dolphin exhibit:(

The tank appears nice enough, but the viewing setup appears awkward. I greatly enjoyed my viewing experience of Belugas at the Vancouver Aquarium.

@NAIB Volunteer.
Do you know the death cuase of Nico ?

The Georgia Aquarium isn't teh largets, it has 30 Millionen liters of Water, there are some aquariums with more Water. Is has around of 500 Species, there are a lot aquariums with more species, Berlin Aquariums has almost 90o species and Oceanopolis Brest 1000 Species.

Maybe the building is the largest, but I would say, the area of the Oceanografic Valenica is much bigger than the Georgia Aquarium. So i don't know who had the idea to say, Georgia Aquarium is the largest on earth, its not true.
