Did you know that this exhibit is much bigger than it can be seen by the visitors ? It is connected by a little lagoon and a mangrove swamp, its possible to see it during a behind the scenes tour. I regognize to do this tour, its great !
This is one of the largest living coral reefs at any aquarium in the world, and it holds 164,000 gallons of water. It is 49 feet long, 47 feet wide, 18 feet deep and only one section of the exhibit is able to be viewed by the general public. However, it is possible to take a behind-the-scenes tour and see the much larger upper level.
