The exhibit for snow leopards (Panthera uncia) as seen from above in the Asia Area in Planckendael. This is nothing extraordinary but a well executed exhibit. Planckendael was also the first Belgian zoo to breed snow leopards in 2010.
The Asia theme in Planckendael is the newest theme currently being developed. The first major part (Gir Forest and Tropical House) was opened in 2006 while the next major part (elephants) will open in 2012.
