Stone Sheep

On eof the last of that subspecies in an american collection. It was very old in 2005, so I don\'t know, if the sheep is still alive.

He is not. His exhibit has been modified and now houses Chacoan peccaries.

What other zoos keep them?

Assiniboine Park Zoo and Yukon Wildlife Park

I thought, it was the last one in north american collections ? But both of these zoos are in canada, thats right ? Okay, in that case, it was the last one in the USA.

Well facilities that currently keep them are

Yukon Wildlife Preserve and they have 7 males and 12 females
and
Assiniboine Park Zoo and they have 1 male and 4 females
and
White Elk Hunting Ranch, I dont know how many they have though

To my knowledge the last of Hogle's stone sheep (the one pictured here) passed away in 2007.
