Thank you for including a shot of this animal, I have never seen one! Do you know if they were once more commonly displayed? ISIS does not list them as this common name, do they have a different name?
Thanks! Perhaps the other two zoos do not have them on display or as ambassadors? I do not remember seeing them at the other two zoos, which I have both visited in the past year...although it would certainly be easy to miss some small mammals in Henry Doorly's extensive exhibits.
ISIS aslways could be wrong. However, in the US, they list one for Hogle, one for Omaha, and one for Philadelphia. There is nothing about Cincinnati, though ISIS might be outdated as it often is.
