African Savanna Exhibit

This is a large, mixed-species exhibit for giraffe, mountain zebra, nyala, ostrich, egyptian goose, and helmeted guineafowl. Currently, only the zebras and birds have been introduced to this yard.

Well, this is definitely not Heart of Africa at Columbus Zoo...but what was your impression of the new exhibit complex at Hogle Zoo?

It's nice overall, but could be a little better. It's hard to say, because the whole area was a little empty without the giraffes in the main yard. I wrote a short review in the main thread for Hogle Zoo.

I was just there today and thought it was pretty nice. I didn't see any guinea fowl nor did I see nyala. Only the zebras, ostriches, and Egyptian geese where in there (along with some mallards). The employee working near there said the giraffes have been very skittish around the zebras and ostriches.
