I think it's good that they have a phone number. Twice I have had to alert someone in a zoo and I had to walk half way across the zoo before I could find someone. I often wonder what I would do in a serious emergency.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, two days before my visit some vandals damaged a number of aviaries and allowed birds to escape. I'm guessing this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
