I tried to figure it out from your review and was unsuccessful, so...what's kept in this enclosure?

Hmmm....... a few months ago now......Red-whiskered Bulbuls, Golden White-eyes, I think a pigeon species (possibly Marianas Fruit Dove), and one or two other softbills. There may have been Victoria Crowns or a pheasant species on the ground but I didn't see them. At the other end of the row of aviaries is an identical aviary to this but with denser foliage and housing a pair of Wrinkled Hornbills.

Did you see the Tinian Monarchs while you were there?

EDIT:

Strike that from the record. The line I read on Honolulu Zoo's website was apparently no longer correct and the Honolulu Zoo does not have Tinian Monarchs. (Though they apparently are at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Memphis Zoo)

That's probably correct, as I saw no mention of Tinian Monarchs (or monarchs of any kind).

A shame really. Tinian Monarchs, Marianas Fruit Doves and Golden White-eyes would have made a great exhibit.

They had several wild collected Tinian Monarchs two or three years ago. The birds did not adapt well to captivity...

Also this aviary currently contains a breeding pair of Victoria Crowned Pigeons on a chick ,a pair of Golden White Eyes and a female pair of Red Vented Bulbuls.

Redventeds or Redwhiskers?

Blerg ,sorry ,Red Whiskered Bulbuls. Posting late at night can cause mistakes like that :p
