The Hall of Paleontology - from overlook deck

July 25th, 2015.
The newly renovated Paleontology hall is the best part of HMNH. it can be compared to the Field Mueseum and AMNH halls. Snowleopard, did you see the active colony of coypus in the lake at hermann park ? They are most visible after five when the zoo and museum close.

The flying is being done by the Paleolithic hunter hooked by the mammoth's tusk....

I found this Paleontology hall much more dynamic and interesting than the much-touted late 90s update of the AMNH dinosaur and ancient mammal halls.

I need to get down there and see this renovation. Haven't visited in far too long. I guess I could visit the zoo too.

The Paleontology Hall is great, as is the Hall of Entomology. I had no idea about the coypus but by dusk I was already on the road to another set of zoos! :)
