The facilities that are breeding giant elands are Houston Zoo, Zoo Miami, San Diego WAP, White Oak Conservation Center, and Cincinnati Zoo. Los Angeles Zoo also has a pair, but I heard that they are old, so they won't be breeding anytime soon...
You may be right Gerenuk, but I had heard that the remaining animals had been moved to their off-site breeding facility until the opening of the African Savannah. I do know that they were trying to slim their herd down so it wouldn't suprise me if they sent some away. I know that they had been talking to White Oaks in particular. I was even listening to the zoo's podcast and the director said that the elands would be returning for the African Savannah, but I'm not 100% sure about the breeding center. That was just hear-say from members on the site and from a few newspaper articles. I will try to contact the zoo on facebook and find out.
