Click to expand... This is the only indoor red panda exhibit that I have ever seen either. I would guess that you're right about the heat. When I saw this exhibit in 2007 it was full of koalas. I wonder if it is meant to be a rotating species exhibit? Rather unusual.

Chlidonias 24 Mar 2012 Dusit Zoo in Bangkok has their red pandas in an enclosed cage as well which is air-conditioned to keep them cool

jbnbsn99 24 Mar 2012 Koalas were a rental from SDZ. These are currently the only Red Pandas in Texas.
blospz 26 Apr 2015 Oh I thought they may have an outdoor exhibit as well. But for an indoor exhibit, it's pretty nice.
