It is based in Tucson, Arizona, and is run by SCI (Safari Club International), which is a pro-hunting organization. There are loads of signs within the facility that talk about conservation, encroachment on wildlife lands by humans, and habitat loss...but at the end of the day the taxidermy specimens are all from various hunting expeditions. That being said, there are many such mounted animals in even more notable museums that were obtained by the same methods and in many nations hunting via proper permits actually helps to stabilize wildlife populations.
