I always love the look and feel of a nice reptile house like this.
I don't know about America, but here in Britain this style of reptile house seems to be a bit out of fashion, with most reptiles being exhibited as parts of other big animal houses.
Americans still love their Reptile Houses. But many zoos are adding reptile exhibits to other animal exhibit areas in addition to the Reptile House. In Jacksonville, the zoo is divided my zoogeographic regions (except for the primate area) and each region has its own reptile house. This concept, which I really like, is starting to catch on in some larger American zoos.
I wish the other Reptile Houses also had Indoor/Outdoor areas like the Eastern Diamondback and Indigo exhibits. How cool would it be to see the Anaconda resting outside next to the River's Edge exhibit looking at the Capybara?
